How is VET changing as a result of the pandemic?
Experiences and lessons learned from the Covid 19 crisis in Switzerland and internationally
Location: online via Zoom
A sudden crisis situation such as the Covid 19 pandemic poses a maximum challenge to vocational education and training. What works as usual, what does not? How can both practical and school-based learning be sensibly organized and made effective? Such crises have the potential to point out weaknesses, but also to promote innovation, initiate change, and rethink old ideas. It therefore makes sense to reflect on our reaction to them, to learn from each other and to perceive and support the new. Up to now (Sept 2020), however, the exchange of information on these issues has only functioned at the operational level within the defined VET structures, but hardly beyond that – neither in Switzerland nor in many other countries. With this event, the FoBBIZ wants to contribute to mutual learning from the pandemic.
